Miss Sharee - Principal

Sharee is highly experienced in all facets of Dance and Performing Arts. 

Her experience includes performances in Disneyland USA, Star Cruises, Carnival Cruise Lines and Norweigen Cruise Lines. 

Sharee is highly qualified in Tap, Jazz and Classical Ballet.  Her credentials include a Diploma of Tap Dance Teaching (LGTDA), Teachers Certificate (CSTD - Tap & Theatrical), Teachers Diploma (CSTD - Tap & Theatrical), Jazz Award (CSTD), Modern Jazz 8 and a Bachelor of Education (Primary).  

In collaboration with Sandra Breen & Janine Tirant, Sharee recently co-created the new Comdance (CSTD) Tap syllabus providing a strong foundation of tap technique for students aged 5 through to professional Comdance teacher qualifications. The syllabi has been extremely well received and is now examined worldwide.

She is a highly motivated enthusiastic teacher who enjoys teaching children of all ages and abilities.

Sharee is married with 2 boys, Benjamin & Mitchell.

Miss Sophie

Dance has been a part of Sophie’s life since she was 4 years old starting with jazz and tap and quickly followed by ballet. She has completed all her tap, jazz and ballet exams. Sophie's Group performances include eisteddfods, D3, Disneyland USA, Disneyland Hong Kong and Universal Studios USA. Solo performances include tap, jazz and lyrical. Sophie has been teaching for 7 years and holds her CSTD Modern Jazz Certificate. She loves teaching children and works hard towards helping each child achieve their potential. Her happy nature is infectious and she is enthusiastic about her work. Sophie holds her Bachelor of Health Sciences and is currently studying Speech Pathology at the University of Queensland.

Miss Emma

Emma commenced dancing at the young age of 3, following in the footsteps of her big sister.

Emma is a passionate, committed performer who has completed her examinations in the RAD classical ballet syllabus (Advanced Fd), Comdance Modern Jazz 9 (Honours Plus), Comdance Tapping syllabus (Honours Plus), Comdance Theatrical and performing arts syllabus (Honours Plus), Jason Winters Contemporary 4 (Honours Plus) and most recently was awarded the blue sash award, an invite only examination. Emma’s performance experience includes Disneyland USA, Disneyland Hong Kong, Royal Caribbean Cruise lines and most recently Merge dance theatre.

Emma has a particular flair for detail and thrives on setting new challenges for all students young and old. Emma is in her final stages of preparation for her teaching certificate in all genres and also studying to be a nurse.

Miss Olivia

Olivia commenced dancing at the young age of 5 and quickly found her love for the arts, music and performance.  Completing examinations in RAD Classical Ballet, Comdance Modern Jazz syllabus and Comdance Tap syllabus, Olivia is now in the final stages of preparing for her teachers certification and her practical hours.  With her endless energy, enthusiasm and eagerness to learn, Olivia has beautifully transitioned into her role of teaching and inspiring our future generation to share her love for dance.

Miss Leilani

Leilani has been dancing since she was 2 years old and joined the SSDC family in 2012. She has recently completed her Advanced Foundation R.A.D ballet examination and Comdance Modern jazz 8 exam. She is now currently working towards completing her Teaching Certificate in Jazz and becoming a certified R.A.D ballet teacher. This year, Leilani is studying a Bachelor of Primary Education at QUT. Leilani loves teaching and hopes to instill the same love and passion she has for dance in younger generations.

Miss Lucinda

Lucinda commenced her dance career at four years of age and continued studying classical ballet for 13 years under the guidance of Dance Central’s Principal, Alison Vallette. Lucinda has completed all of her RAD classical ballet examinations up to Advanced 2 with Distinctions, and completed her R.A.D. classical ballet teacher studies in 2019. She has had wonderful experiences in many performance troupes and shows, ranging from The Imperial Russian Ballet’s ‘The Nutcracker’ in 2010, to the Empire Theatre’s Heritage Production of ‘Mary Poppins’ in 2015. Lucinda is excited to share her passion and knowledge of classical ballet and performance with her students and is excited to leap into her new role at the Lockyer Valley Dance Centre.

Miss Taylah

Taylah began dancing at the age of four. After many years of gaining her skills and confidence as a dancer, she transitioned into the role of a teacher at Lockyer Valley Dance Centre in 2016.
Taylah has successfully completed all of her Modern Jazz examinations. Most recently, she received her Modern Jazz Teacher’s Certificate in 2018.
She has a passion for teaching and working with children. She is honoured to have seen the growth of LVDC and its students since the studio’s opening and is excited to see the students achieve their 2020 goals.
Throughout her time with us, Taylah has also been completing her university degree in a Bachelor of Occupational Therapy. She is excited to graduate at the end of the year!

Miss Elouise

Elouise is here to perform! She was enrolled in a dance classes at the age of three to support her extreme shyness. Look at her now!!! She did her first tap class in jazz shoes, came out and exclaimed, "Mummy buy the shoes. I was born to TAP!" She has tried and loved all forms of dance including jazz, hip-hop, tap, ballet, acrobatics and contemporary. She has achieved Trinity College of London successes in musical theatre and speech and drama exams since the age of seven. She is currently working towards her Teaching and Performance Diploma’s in Musical Theatre! She has performed on stage in competitions and shows since the age of five and is excited to be sharing her love and extensive knowledge of absolutely everything musical theatre!

Miss Kate

Kate started dancing at the age of 4 years old and quickly found her passion. She studied Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary and Musical Theatre. Kate was involved in the Sydney Olympics opening and closing ceremonies, Olympic torch relay ceremonies, School Spectacular and Rock Eisteddfod. As a Mum to 3 kids, Kate has a wonderful emotional connection with the students and families and is looking forward to sharing her passion with you all.
